Princess
Love - Chapter 9
"What just happened?" Nick asked, standing in the middle of the
sidewalk, looking around,
he wasn't sure if he just imagined what he saw.
"No clue... but that was strange." Brian said, scratching his head,
and then he shook it.
"Let's go, there is nothing we can do about it." He said
and walked back to the car and everyone followed him.
"I wish we could have done something." Jasmine said, the doctor still
in her, she wanted to
help everyone.
She had taken the month off to be with AJ and they were enjoying it.
Kim and Valerie decided
to stay in Orlando for a little while. Valerie was
enjoying being with Howie
and he felt the same. Kim and Kevin hadn't gotten very
serious, there was way to much going on and they always felt like they
spent no time alone.
"I know, but we can't help everyone." AJ said and sat down next to
Jasmine.
"I know, but I want to." She said and smiled and he laughed.
"If..." Nick began and then stopped, he turned to look out the window.
"What?" Kim asked.
"Nothin'." He said. He was quiet for the rest of the night.
"Be copperative." The police officer said as he tried to make her sit
down on the plane.
"I don't want to." She said and looked at him evilly
"Well, you have to." He said, pulling her down to her seat.
"No I don't." She whimpered, she hated this.
Two hours later they were sitting in a large, grey, dirty cell. She
was being questioned on
what she knew about the previous murder that her father
had commited many years ago. The officers knew that they wouldn't
let her
see her father because it would make everything even more harder.
"When was the last time you talked to your father?" The detective,
Robert, asked.
"Maybe a year, a year and a half ago." She said, scared to death of
what was going to happen.
"When was this?" He asked.
"I don't know the exact date." She said, annoyed and frustrated.
"What occured on the last day that you saw him?" He asked and she
took a deep breath and
thought to herself that if she just told him the truth that
maybe she would be able to go home again soon.
"When he left us." She said, she didn't know any other way to put it.
"Why did he do that?" The detective asked and looked over at the
recorder who was taking
quick notes.
"Because he felt like it?" She paused and decided to continue. "He
did something horrible
and he probably wanted to leave and never think about it
again. Maybe part of the reason was because he didn't want to fess
up to the
crime that he commited."
"And what crime was that?" The detective asked, sitting in the chair
across from her and scratching
the top of his head. This was good news for him,
this would be a definate conviction if the girl would tell everything.
"Well, my mother and father fought a lot. I understand that all
parents have their days
when they just fight. Well, this was everyday. They
fought over everything
and they hit each other on a regular basis.
"The last night that I saw him was when I saw him standing over my
mother late one night
in the living room. He had a knife and they were both
covered in blood.
He saw me and threw the knife down and then he jumped, I
didn't know what he was
going to do or what he was thinking. He ran to a candle
and threw it on the couch and it burst into flames, it burnt the whole
house down. My sister
and I got out safetly but all the evidence of my mother's
murder was distroyed." She said, whimpering.
"I am so sorry... Can I ask you a question?" Robert asked, this was
going to be a huge case,
he knew it.
"What?" She asked, wiping the tears from her face.
"Can you repeat everything in court?" He asked and she nodded slowly.
"I guess... I loved my father, but he did that to my mother and I
don't think I will ever
be able to forgive him, he should be punished for what
he did." Jen said, nodding her head. She knew that what she was doing
was right.
Elizabeth boarded the plane and sat in first class with a large
brimed hat and a pair
of sunglasses on to conceal her beauty and the identity that
she was the Princess of England.
The flight was long and tiring, Elizabeth had decided to get a little
cottage on the coast of
Florida, her travel agent had already picked out something
and Elizabeth would be ushered to the house once she landed in
Miami.
She sat on the plane and thought about her last crossing. It had
been a totally different
feeling, happier rather than sad like now. She may
have left the place that
she called home two years ago, but now she was leaving
her dream. Her father was left in the large house that she had
shared with him for
a short time, he was going to stay there by himself to take
care of the horse that Elizabeth had cherished and had created the
marriage to the Prince
of England. She knew she would be back to take care
of both the horse and
her father, but she wasn't sure when.
She slept for the duration of the flight, thinking about all of the
things that had happened
to her. They were good, bad and everything in between.
She sat up quickly as she felt the plane make its descent, she had
just dreamt of the ending
of the life of the one man that she had loved more
than her father, her
husband. She could remember every detail and feel every
move vibrate through her,
she sat up with a start at the feeling of the plane landing,
she shook her head as if to make the thoughts vanish and waited to
start her new life.
"You are positive?" Jasmine asked, sitting on the table and the
doctor nodded. Even
Jasmine knew that he was positive.
"I am afraid so..." He trailed off.
"What am I going to do?" She asked herself.
"You should definatly start taking medication, this is the only way
we can lengthen your life."
He said and she nodded, she already knew that. What
she wanted to know whas how she was going to tell AJ that she had HIV.
