Princess
Love - Chapter 6
Valerie filmed the video and started the long process of editing it.
The guys had been good sports but had left for Florida.
"How is it going?" Kim asked. The two had become good friends even
after the video was done.
"I think it is going good, I just hope I can finish it soon." She said
and smiled, sitting at her chair trying to fix something with a scene of
the video.
The video had the five guys having their own separate stories. AJ was missing
his girl friend, lying on his bed and thinking about her. Howie was
jogging along a road and kept thinking he saw her. Nick was at the
beach and had flashbacks of the the good times they had at the beach.
Kevin was in the pool, having a confused look on his face like he was wondering
where she went. Brian was at the gym and was looking all over for
her. By the end of the video they meet up with the girls that they
had missed so much. Valerie and Kim had to call in some friends to
play the girlfriends and they were more than happy to help out.
"Howie likes you..." Kim said out of the blue.
"What?!" Valerie asked, turning her chair to face her friend.
"He does, Kevin told me." She said and smiled and Valerie just rolled her
eyes.
"Whatever." She didn't have time for a boyfriend anyway, or the patience.
"He does!" Kim said, not getting the point that Valerie really didn't care.
"Ok, let me work now." She said and Kim left her to be by herself.
Jen had made it. After her escape from the hospital she had waited
until her 18th birthday. When it finally arrived she went to the
lawyer and waited for the reading of the will, her mother had left her
almost all of the money, leaving close to nothing to her father.
Jen took the money and bought a ticket to Florida. She was home free
now. The only problem was that she had no one to talk to and no where
to go. She rented a little apartment and sat there, looking around,
not knowing what to do with herself.
She looked around and had an idea, it would be a last hope to find something
to do, but she was going to do it anyway.
She sat down at the little desk that served as her kitchen table.
She pulled out a piece of paper and stared at the wall directly in front
of her. She hummed to herself and then sang, she knew that she sounded
horrible, but she didn't care, she was looking for the words.
"The... The words... damn!" She muttered to herself, not knowing how to
start it. She looked at a picture of her father that she had brought
of him and began to write as fast as she could, making a mess all over
the paper, singing the words as she wrote them.
"The words that you
told me
You thought
they could mold me into something I am not
You are the
one
The only one
who said that I could be the one
The dreams that
I follow will lead the path
You spend your
everlasting moments with her
What did you
think
The result was
that my light dimed
The words that
y ou told me
You were the
only one who thought they would mold me
You are the
only one
The only one
who knows
You are the
only one who could lighten
The only one
who could brighten
The fire within
me
Spending the
blissful moments within
Brighten the
light
And sure as
night
The hope would
come out
I knew you never
could doubt
The power within
me." She sang and smiled, "Perfect." She said as she stood up and folded
the piece of paper and put it in her pocket.
She grabbed her jacket and walked downtown. The one think that she
had noticed when she had arrived in Florida was that there were many jazz
and blues singers that were on the streets, singing. They had their
instrument cases open and countless coins and bills were thrown in there.
Once in awhile a huge crowd would gather to admire the music, but usually
the passerby didn't even notice the wonderful music around them.
Jen didn't want money, she wanted to hear her song become a reality.
She had always dreamed as a little girl that she could sing in huge concert
halls, the closest thing to that was to have her songs performed by other
people.
She made her way to a corner where a group of people were standing.
"Can you sing my song?" She asked and took out the piece of paper. The
tallest member looked down at her and smiled.
"HELL NO!" He yelled in her face and she looked at him for a minute
and turned on her
heel and went to another corner.
"I wrote a song, could you sing it?" She asked another group. They
were on another corner. There was a saxaphonist and a guitarist.
The saxaphonist looked at her and took the piece of paper that she held
in her hands. He looked at it and nodded.
"Do you want to be paid?" He asked.
"No." She said politely.
"What is your name?" He asked.
"Jen."
"I am Harry." He said and shook her hand. "Now, how do you want this
played? Like, is it fast or slow?"
"Slow and I want the words at the end of each verse to be held for a long
time." She said and he nodded.
"So, you want it to be played with soul?" He said and smiled and the other
guys laughed. They all introduced themselves and began to play, slowly.
Harry was the lead singer and he did a wonderful job with his voice.
She smiled and within a minute a huge crowd had gathered and were listening
to the song. Jen looked around and off in the distance she saw a long black
limosine pass. A minute later it turned around and the members of
the car came out. Jen raised her eyebrows in surprise as the group
stood nearby and listened to the song, they were the first to clap their
hands.
"That was great! I could hear it in the car!" AJ said and smiled.
"Yeah, who wrote it?" Brian asked Harry.
"She did," he said and turned around but Jen was no where to be found.
Valerie stood in the front of the class, not sure what to do or what to
say. The tape was in the projector and ready to be played, once Valerie
said her introduction.
"You may begin Valerie." The teacher said and she nodded.
"For my project I did a music video called, 'Missing You', the cast is
made up of my friends." She said and nodded to the teacher to press the
play button and he did once she sat down.
The completed video was three minutes long, but it taken nearly a month
from start to finish to be completed. Valerie was proud of it and
she hoped that the teacher would like it.
She watched along with the class and smiled when she heard a couple of
female gasps. It ended shortly after and the teacher stopped the
tape and turned the lights back on. He looked across the auditorium
at Valerie and smiled, then began to clap and pretty soon the whole class
had joined in.
It was the night of the Royal Performance. The Royals wore their
best clothing and acted their best in front of the Queen Mother.
The groups were lined up on the stage and she would select would would
go first. She sat in the front row along with her children.
Behind them were her grandchildren, including Elizabeth and Sean.
They were in a huge auditorium and it was completely full.
"First, Sir Paul McCartney." She said and he sang a song. Everyone
clapped and she called the next performers.
"The Backstreet Boys." She said, nearly have difficulty pronouncing the
words because she had never really heard them, all she knew was that her
great grandchildren said they were good.
They came out wearing formal black and white matching suits. AJ restrained
from tehe dye and Howie pulled his hair back. Kevin was clean shaven
and Nick had just gotten a new haircut. They stood in front of her
and began to sing "Just To Be Close To You." During the song Brian had
scanned the crowd
to see if he knew anyones faces. He stopped at the second row and
looked at Elizabeth, keeping his eyes on her until the end of the song.
Sean didn't even notice and Elizabeth was enjoying it, Sean had never looked
at her like that. The song ended and they all walked off the stage
and kissed the Queen, who was sitting directly in front of Elizabeth. When
Brian kissed the Queen he looked back at Elizabeth and smiled. She
smiled back, once again Sean didn't notice. She laughed to herself,
"He really has no clue who I am." She thought to herself and tried not
to laugh out loud.
The guys all went backstage for the snacks that were being served until
the Queen could come out and talk to them all privately.
"Who was the blonde sitting behind the Queen?" Brian asked and AJ looked
at him and shrugged his shoulders.
"I didn't see her." He responded.
"Come with me." He said and the group walked to the left wing of the stage
and peeked out from the curtains. Brian pointed her out and they
backed away. Kevin laughed.
"That is Princess Elizabeth." He said and Brian looked at him in shock.
"Oh god! I thought she was just a regular girl." He said and laughed, feeling
very embarrassed.
"No, she is Prince Sean's wife." Howie said and Brian nodded, he was quiet
for the rest of the night.
"I want to go home now." Elizabeth said after the last performer came out
and Sean nodded.
"Okay, I am tired anyway." He said and they both kissed the Queen and walked
outside, their bodyguards surrounding them. They walked to the car
and the bodyguard in front of Sean stumbled, falling on the ground. Elizabeth
laughed and then froze when she heard a sound and was thrown to the ground.
She looked up and saw Sean standing there, as frozen as a rock. Elizabeth
screamed when she saw the bullet come closer to him and hit him square
in the head. Her eyes were showing everything in slow motion and
she could see the blood gush from his head and then she fainted.
