Princess Love - Chapter 3

Elizabeth was trotting down the large embankment in the corner of their land.  There was a long brook the weaved in and out of the gardens, near the end of it was an open space that she walked over to and the graceful stallion bowed its head and began to drink.
"That is a mighty beautiful horse you have there."  She heard a man say behind her with a thick english accent.  She looked up and saw a handsome man in his mid thirties looking at her.  He was sitting on top of a huge white horse that she admired and she looked up at him and smiled again.
"Thank you, what is your name?" She asked curiously and he smiled.
"My name is Sean, what is yours?" He asked.
"Elizabeth." She said and he made the horse jump over the brook and stood next to Elizabeth.  He took off his gloves and she did the same, they then shook hands.  "Would you like to come in for some coffee or something?" She asked and he looked at her, trying to decide.  "Come on..." She said and he nodded.
"Okay." He said and she led the way to the stables in the back of her house.  "Did you just move here?" He asked and she nodded.
"Yes, from California, have you ever been there?" She asked as they made there way closer to the stables.
"Yes, once or twice." He said vaguely as he jumped off the horse and put her in the stable.
"What is your horse's name?" Elizabeth asked curiously as the man gave her his hand to help her off of the horse.
"Angelic, what is yours?" He asked, pronouncing in the name like Angel with and ic at the end.
"Princess Love." She said and his eyebrows raised and he seemed to be speechless for a moment.
"That is a nice name." He smiled and she led him up the walkway to the front door.  She walked in and saw her father sitting on the couch, he stood up and shook the hand of the man and he looked interested.
"This is Sean." Elizabeth said and the two men shook hands.  They went to the little breakfast nook that was located outside in the gardens under a huge umbrella.  They sat down and drank their coffee and tea and talked about the lands.
"Tell us about yourself." Elizabeth said and her father raised his eyebrows again, Elizabeth was trying to figure out what was so interesting.
"Not much to tell.  I gotta get going now." He said and stood up.
"No, wait." She began but her father gave her a look and she shut up.
"I will talk to you later." He said as he walked in the direction of his horse and Elizabeth's father held her back.
"Do you have any idea who that was?" Her father exclaimed and Elizabeth looked at him curiously and shook her head.
         "No. Should I?" She asked.
"Liz! That was the crowned prince of England!" Her father exclaimed and she nearly screamed, she couldn't believe it.

Kim sat by her brother's bedside and watched him sleep.  Her parents had left for work and it was only the two of them in the cramped room.
"Can I please speak to you?" The doctor, Jasmine, asked.
"Sure." Kim said as she stood up and left the room.
"We need to talk." Jasmine said and led her to a conference room. She sat down and waited for the doctor to begin.
"Is there something wrong?" Kim asked, worridly.
"No, but we are trying to get ahold of your parents before we say anything." She said and Kim wondered who the 'we' was.
"Okay..." She said patiently and looked around the room.
Ten minutes later her parents arrived and they looked as worried as Kim.  They couldn't afford for Timmy to have the surgery and they were always hoping that he wouldn't die, they just needed to get enough money to pay for it and then he would be as good as new.
"What is this all about?" Kim's mother, Susan, asked.  Her father sat next to her mother and waited.
"One minute." The doctor said and stood up.  She opened the door and five young men came in and sat down.
"Hi." One of them said and Kim looked at them.  Her parent's realized it at the same time.
"What are the Backstreet Boys doing here again?" Her father said, a small smile on his face.
"Well, as you know, I had the same problem that your son has." Brian said. "And I got it fixed, because I could afford it.  But I know that there are many families who can't afford the surgery.  I set up a foundation for these families and I have good news that we have enough money to pay for your son's operation!" Brian exclaimed with a happy smile and the other four looked at the family and waited to see there reaction.
"Oh thank god!" Her mother exclaimed and burst into tears, Kim's father, Ralph, held her in a tight hug.
"Under one condition." Brian said and they all looked at him.
"And what is that?" Her father asked.
"That you let us take you out to dinner when this is all over!" Nick said and everyone laughed.
"We would be more than happy to!" Kim exclaimed.  "With Timmy!" She said and smiled, tears of happiness running down her cheeks.
"So it is a plan, we will give you our numbers in case you need to tell us something." AJ said and wrote them down and handed them to Ralph.
"We will be around town if you need us for awhile." Howie explained and stood up.
"But we are going to start our tour soon so we won't be here for that long, we have a month off and we will spend it out here." Kevin said and they all got up to leave.  They all gave the family a hug and left.
"This is a miracle!" Susan said and they all joined in a hug, along with Jasmine.

Jen felt a pair of muscular arms lift her up and carry her down a ladder, onto the safety of the grass.  She was immediately moved into an ambulance and she sat up.  "Where is my sister!?" She screamed at the top of her lungs.
"She is fine, now lie back." The paramedic said and she did so, drifting off into a deep sleep.  She had flash backs of the look on her fathers face when he saw that she witnessed her mother lying on the living room floor covered in blood that had been caused by him.  She awoke and found herself in a hospital.  She turned her head to the left and saw a lady sitting next to her.
         "What-where?" She asked, in confusion.
"You are in the hospital." The polite young woman said.
"Where is my sister?" Jen asked in worry.
"We will talk about that soon, now tell me, what happened between your parents?" She asked and Jen got mad.
"I just woke up and now you want to ask me some questions!? Get out! I want my sister!" She screamed and began to cry.
"I will leave you alone once you answer all of my questions, okay?" She asked.
"Fine!" She said stubbornly. "What is your name anyway? Who are you?"
"My name is Sandra and I work with social services."
"Oh no! You are going to put me in a foster home, aren't you?" She asked, giving the woman the meanest look that was possible.
"We will see, once you answer my questions." She said.
"I am seventeen, I will be eighteen in a couple of weeks, you can't put me in a foster home!" She screamed.
"Just be quiet and answer my questions!" The social worker said, she was getting agitated.
         "Fine."
"Who killed your mother?" She asked and Jen frowned.
         "My father."
         "Are you sure?"
"Would I lie?" She asked as she began to cry.  "He was standing over her with a knife! There was blood all over the place! He was staring at me and then he through the knife at the floor and ran to the candle that he had burning in the corner.  He threw it at the couch and ran."
"So, he tried to destroy evidence?" She asked, taking notes.
"I guess." She said, sitting uncomforably on the bed.
         "Did they fight a lot?"
         "Yes."
         "Did he ever threaten her?"
         "Yes."
         "How?"
"I don't know!" Jen said, she didn't like this one bit.  "I just lost my mother, can't you please leave me alone!?" She yelled.
"Do you know where your father went?" Sandra asked, ignoring Jen's request to stop.
"Out the door, that is as far as I know." She said.
         "Did he ever hit you?"
         "Never."
         "Or your sister?"
         "No." She said truthfully.
"Did you ever see your father hit your mother?"
"No, I never saw anything of the nature." She said, this lady was getting on her nerves.
"Did your father have a motive?" Sandra asked and Jen looked at her in confusion.
         "What do you mean?"
"Did your mother have an affair or ever threaten him about a divorce?" She asked.
"Not in front of me, not really." She said.
"What do you mean by 'not really'?"
"Well, sometimes she told him to get out of the house but that was it." She said and Sandra stood up.
"Thank you, that is all for now."
"Whatever." She said, agitated.  She wanted to get out of the place as soon as possible, she wasn't even hurt.  She got up and found the nightgown that she had been wearing a long with a pair of jeans and a t-shirt that she had held in her hand when the firefighter brought her down.  She got up and went to the front desk after changing.
"I want to sign out." She told the woman at the front desk.
"How old are you?" She asked.
"Eighteen." She lied and signed the piece of paper and ran out the door.  She didn't know where she was going to go.

"That doctor was nice." AJ said as he sat looking out the window of the bus.
"Yeah, for a doctor." Nick said.
"What do you mean by that?" AJ asked curiously as he looked up at Nick who was standing in the aisle.  He had a green hat on his head, backwards.  He had a pair of khakis on and a large blue shirt that said TAMPA BAY on the front.  He sat down next to AJ.
"Doctor's are busy people." Nick said.
"Oh really, and we aren't?" AJ laughed.
"Oh yeah, I forgot." Nick said and laughed.
"I don't think any one is as busy as we are." Kevin said, listening to the conversation, frowning to himself.
"You got that right, but it is fun." Brian said, sitting next to his cousin.
"What is?" Howie asked as he came from the back of the bus.
         "Being singers." Nick said.
"Yeah, it is fun." Howie said and sat behind Kevin.  They were on there way to Washington State for a charity concert that they were going to do and then they were going to drive back down to Los Angeles overnight.
"But we don't have enough time for other stuff." AJ said, thinking of the doctor.
"Like what?" Nick asked and AJ laughed.
"What do you think? Girls!" He said and laughed, looking back out the window.
"I agree with that one.  What do you see in that doctor though?" Nick asked.
"She was nice and she acted like she really cared about her patients.  She was really nice and kind, I thought."
"But your professions would clash." Kevin pointed out.
"Yeah..." AJ frowned, still looking out the window, eventually falling asleep.
