Princess Love - Chapter 20

They guys got home a little bit before eleven and found that all of the girls were already asleep.  They smiled at each other and went their seperate ways.
They had planned out everything and they knew that it was going to be great.  The concert was going to start at one and they wanted to rehearse at least once before the real thing.
That morning the guys were up before the girls and went into the hallway to talk before they woke up.
"So this thing is really going to work out?" Howie asked and everyone smiled at him.  He had been giddy since the day before.
"Yes Howie, it will." AJ smiled.
         "Good! I can't wait."
"We know you can't." Brian said and laughed.  "It is going to be good."
"It is going to be great." Kevin said.
"I hope the girls don't cry, but they probably will."  Nick said and they nodded.

Elizabeth heard them talking and opened her door and peaked out.
"Hey, when did you guys get home last night?" She asked.
"Around eleven." Brian said and she nodded.
"I am going to get dressed, talk to you later." She smiled and shut the door.
The other girls woke up soon afterwards and by twelve o'clock they were ready to go.
"Sorry girls, gotta go.  We'll meet you there at quarter of one, okay?" Kevin asked and kissed Kim on the cheek and they nodded.  They wondered why they kept leaving, but figured that they would figure it our eventually.
"Now what? We don't have time to go shopping or anything." Valerie pretended to pout and they all laughed.
"Do you guys all have work-out clothes?" Kim asked and they nodded. They exercised in the weight room for awhile and then got dressed again and headed back out.
They drove to the arena where the performance was going to be held and saw the guys running around and acting goofy before their performance. They were going to start the show and then they thought they were going to leave.
"Hey gals!" AJ waved and they all waved back.
"How much longer?" Valerie asked and Brian looked out at the crowd.
"Not much longer." He said and they all went backstage.  The curtains were closed and everyone sat in their seats in the arena.  There were five white stools that were on the stage, each behind a microphone stand.  The curtains opened and the guys stood there in a line for a minute.
Kevin wore a black suit, cut to show his muscular body.  He left the jacket open and he was wearing a black shirt under he jacket.  Brian wore a white suit with baggy pants and a blue shirt.  Nick wore a black jacket, khakis and a yellow shirt under the jacket. Howie wore a grey suit and a blue shirt.  AJ wore all black and his hair was red. He had his earrings and he wasn't wearing a jacket, just a tight black shirt.
The crowd cheered and the guys walked foreward.  Howie held roses in his hand and was planning on saving them until the end of the song.
"Hi all!" Brian shouted and they all took their seats.  Brian next to Nick, then AJ, Kevin and Howie.  They were sitting in order of vocals.  "This song is written for the new album and we would like to dedicate it to our friends, you know who you are." Brian said and the guys looked down at front row where the girls were sitting.
         "'Cause you are, my fire,
         The one, desire,
         Believe when I say,
I want it that way." Brian began and the crowd hushed.
"But we, are two worlds apart," Nick began and put his hand to his heart and looked down at Jen, then spred his hands over his head. "Can't reach to your heart,
         When you say,
That, I want it that way." Nick sang and the guys paused, the crowd was silent.
         They sang: "Tell me why,
         Ain't nothin' but a heartache,
         Tell me why,
         Ain't nothin' but a mistake,
         Tell me why,
I never wanna hear you say,
         I want it that way."
AJ stood up and stood in front of the guys with his microphone in his hand up to his mouth.
         "Am I, your fire,
         Your one, desire,
Yes I know, it's too late,
But I want it that way."  He sang at the top of his lungs and sat back down.  They sang the chorus again.
"Now I can see that we're falling apart,
From the way that it used to be, Yeah,
         No matter the distance,
         I want you to know,
That deep down inside of me!" Kevin sand and the crowd rocked back and forth.
"You are, my fire," Howie sang and stood up, holding his roses.
"The one desire," Howie said and for the rest of the song he threw out roses.  He held the last one close to his heart and when the song ended he handed it to security who carefully held it and it's attachment.  They brought it down to the front row and handed it to Valerie.  The guys left the stage, leaving the crowd in amazement.
Valerie opened the box that was connected to the rose, revealing the diamond that she had seen before.  There was a note that said in big capital letters, "WILL YOU MARRY ME?" and she screamed, making everyone in the first couple of rows jump.  Security came over and brought the four girls up to the back of the stage to be with the guys.
Valerie ran over to Howie and hugged him.
         "So?" He asked and smiled.
"Yes Howie!" She smiled and he hugged her.
"Let's go home." Brian said and they all agreed and went to the bus.
"Did you see that audience!?" AJ exclaimed.  "I thought there was something wrong with them!" He laughed and everyone looked at him.
"I know... I thought maybe you stripped and we didn't know." Brian laughed and AJ shrugged his shoulders.
"Who knows!?" He said and everyone gave him a look and he smiled.  "I feel weird..." He said and Brian looked at him.
         "You look okay." Brian said.
"Thanks." He rolled his eyes.  "No, I really feel weird." He said.
"Like I am about to do or hear something important." Everyone looked at him and wondered what he was talking about.
"Are you serious?" Kevin asked and AJ nodded as they started the van and went to the hotel.
"Yeah... Man this is weird." AJ said and scratched his head.  "Hey look! I have goosebumps!" He said and raised his arm.
"AJ, are you on something?" Nick asked, his arm around Jen.
"I don't think so..." He said and everyone looked at him in amazement.
"Okay, you are officially nuts." Howie said and AJ shrugged his shoulders.
"Step on it!" AJ yelled at the driver who grumbled under his breath.
"Be quiet AJ!" Kim said and rolled her eyes, but good naturely.
"No, I gotta get to the hotel." He said and everyone looked at each other.
"Be quiet, we'll get there soon enough." Brian said and AJ nodded.
         "From the first day!
That I saw your smiling face!
Honey, I knew we would be
together forever!!!!!!"  AJ sang as loud as possible and everyone plugged their ears.
"You sing good, but be quiet! We are NOT in the mood." Kevin said.
         "Why?" AJ asked.
"Because we are tired." Brian said.
         "Why?" AJ asked.
"Because we just did a concert, remember?" Kevin said.
         "Why?" AJ asked and smiled.
"Man you are annoying!" Nick said. "More annoying than me!" He said.
"Why?" AJ repeated and this time no one answered him.
It didn't seem like they could get to the hotel soon enough.  They all jumped out and ran upstairs, except for AJ who went to see if he had any messages.
"Do I have any messages?" He asked the receptionist who looked at him.  She looked surprised to see him standing in front of him.
"Yes." She said, not even bothering to ask him his name.
"From?" He asked, his reflective sunglasses bright against the lights of the lobby.  The young woman looked at her reflection for a minute and then grabbed the piece of paper from the desk.
"A Miss... let me see... A Miss Jasm-" AJ grabbed the piece of paper and ran upstairs. He had a feeling that it was going to come... all he wanted to know was if she was going to say what he hoped she was going to say.  Was this all a mistake? Or was it really what fate had meant for them?
